Mise Privacy Policy

Inceptyon Labs LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) develops Mise (the “App”), a grocery list, recipe, and meal planning application for iOS and macOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Mise does not collect, store on our servers, transmit to us, or share with third parties:

• Personal information (beyond what Apple Sign In provides for authentication)
• Your shopping lists, recipes, or meal plans
• Location data (GPS coordinates, precise location)
• Device identifiers for advertising or tracking
• Behavioral or advertising data
• Analytics or usage telemetry

All of your content is stored locally on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). This data never passes through our servers.

iCloud sync is managed entirely by Apple. We do not operate servers that store or relay your data. See Apple’s iCloud security overview for details.

Mise allows you to share lists, recipes, and meal plans with household members via Apple CloudKit Sharing. When you share:

• Shared data is stored in a shared CloudKit zone accessible only to invited members
• Sharing is managed by Apple’s infrastructure, not ours
• You control who has access and can revoke sharing at any time

5.1 Weekly Store Deals (Flipp)

Mise fetches weekly store deals using the Flipp API. When you use this feature:

• Data sent: Your zip/postal code (to find nearby stores)
• Data received: Store names, deal descriptions, prices, and images
• No personal identifiers are sent with these requests

You can choose not to use the deals feature. If you never enter a zip code, no data is sent to Flipp.

5.2 Sign In with Apple

Authentication is handled entirely by Apple. We receive only your name (if you choose to share it) and a relay email address. We do not store or transmit this beyond your local device.

Mise can optionally use your device’s microphone and Apple’s on-device Speech Recognition framework to let you search for recipes by speaking ingredients aloud.

Mise does not access your photos, contacts, camera, or any other device data beyond what is described above.

• Local data: Persists until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app
• iCloud data: Managed by your Apple ID settings. You can delete Mise data from iCloud via Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage
• We retain nothing: Since we don’t collect your data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete

Mise does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not contain advertising, social features, or user-generated public content.

Since Mise stores all data locally and in your personal iCloud account, you have full control:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times
• Deletion: Delete any item within the app, or uninstall to remove all local data
• Portability: Your data lives in your iCloud account

For EU/EEA users (GDPR) and California users (CCPA): since we do not collect or process your personal data on our servers, these regulations’ data-subject rights are satisfied by default.
