TL;DR

We don't collect, store, or share your personal information. INCEPTŸON operates completely offline after download. Your game progress stays on your device. Your privacy is our priority.

1. Introduction

Inceptyon Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the INCEPTŸON mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

INCEPTŸON does not collect, store, transmit, or share:

Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
Location data (GPS coordinates, IP address)
Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, Android Advertising ID)
Photos, contacts, or other device data
Gameplay data or progress (stored locally only)
Behavioral tracking or advertising data
Biometric data
Payment information (handled exclusively by Apple/Google if IAP are added)

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

INCEPTŸON stores the following data locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers or third parties:

4. Analytics & Crash Reporting (Age-Gated)

For users age 13 and older who explicitly opt-in, we use privacy-focused analytics and crash reporting:

4.1 Sentry (Crash Reporting)

Purpose: Detect and fix app crashes to improve stability
Data Collected: Anonymized crash logs (device model, iOS version, crash stack traces)
No PII: We do not collect names, emails, or identifiable information
Retention: Crash logs retained for 90 days
Opt-Out: Disable in Settings → Privacy → Crash Reporting

4.2 Posthog (Usage Analytics)

Purpose: Understand feature usage to improve the app (e.g., "How many players reach Ganymede?")
Data Collected: Anonymous event tracking (e.g., "user completed tutorial", "species unlocked")
No Cross-Site Tracking: Posthog does not track you across other apps or websites
Retention: Analytics events retained for 1 year
Opt-Out: Disable in Settings → Privacy → Analytics

For users under 13: Analytics and crash reporting are automatically disabled to comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). An age gate on first launch disables these features.

5. Third-Party Services

INCEPTŸON does not integrate third-party services that collect data, including:

❌ No cloud save or account systems (no login required)
❌ No in-app messaging or chat systems
❌ No payment processors (future IAP handled by Apple/Google only)

6. Educational Content Sources

INCEPTŸON includes educational content sourced from public domain and openly licensed materials:

NASA/JPL-Caltech (Public Domain) — Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Io imagery and scientific data
ESA/Hubble (CC-BY 4.0) — Jovian system research and imagery
Peer-reviewed scientific publications (fair use for educational purposes)

No personal data is transmitted when accessing this content, as all assets are bundled within the app.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

INCEPTŸON is designed for ages 9+ and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
Age gate on first launch disables analytics for users under 13
No advertising or behavioral tracking
No user-generated content or social features
No chat, messaging, or communication with other players
All gameplay is local and offline

8. Data Retention & Deletion

8.1 Local Data (Game Progress)

Stored: Locally on your device indefinitely (until you uninstall)
Deletion: Uninstall the app to permanently remove all local data
No Cloud Backup: We do not have access to your game progress

8.2 Analytics Data (If Opted-In)

Crash Logs: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
Analytics Events: Retained for 1 year, then automatically deleted
Anonymous Data: No way to identify individual users in this data

8.3 Data Requests

9. Data Security

INCEPTŸON employs industry-standard security practices:

Local Encryption: iOS and Android automatically encrypt app data using device-level encryption
No Cloud Storage: Your game progress never leaves your device
HTTPS/TLS: Analytics (if enabled) use encrypted HTTPS connections
No Login: No passwords to compromise, no accounts to hack

10. International Users & Data Transfers

INCEPTŸON operates entirely offline. If analytics are enabled:

Sentry: Data may be processed in the United States and EU (GDPR compliant)
Posthog: Data may be processed in the United States (privacy-focused, no cross-border data sales)

By using INCEPTŸON, you consent to this data processing. If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR (see Section 11).

11. Your Privacy Rights

11.1 For All Users

Right to Opt-Out: Disable analytics and crash reporting in Settings → Privacy
Right to Delete: Uninstall the app to delete all local data
Right to Know: This Privacy Policy discloses all data practices

11.2 For EU/EEA Users (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

Access: Request information about data collected (none, except anonymized analytics if opted-in)
Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data (not applicable—no personal data)
